Mexico Shows Us How a Soda Tax Works

One year after Mexico began charging a tax on sugary drinks, researchers report that sales of the beverages have dropped 12 percent. About 70% of Mexican adults are overweight or living with obesity, and soft drinks account for 70% of the total added sugars consumed by the average Mexican. Read more in the New York Times.
